Starcke is a medium-sized independent family-owned company which is operating in the fourth-generation.
The history of Starcke begins with trade in iron and wood products as well as household commodities, which was eventually replaced by the manufacture of cleaning agents, detergents, and matches. Towards the end of the 19th century, the production range was extended by emery paper and sanding cloths. In the years to follow, these articles gained in significance as industrialization progressed. For more than 100 years Starcke has focussed on the development and production of coated abrasives for industrial production and the trade.
Today Starcke is one of the market leaders for quality abrasives with demand-driven and high-performance products.
